New Projects Coming!

I have a number of new projects in the works. First there is a web site for Illustrator Peter Wallace under development. Also I expect to design a web site for Sutton House, in Ulverston England of all places! Third, there is a community website in the works for my own family called meadmemorialchapel.org. I am the Secretary on the board so, I have volunteered to do this piece.

And that is not all! I am planning a big web site for my librarian friends at MSLMA, for whom I have done quite a bit of work in the past. They may also go for a new logo, which would be a fun challenge to design.

Web Site Designed for Pasley Studios!

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 2px 0pt; float: left; border: 0px solid ; width: 25%;" onclick="popupWin = window.open('http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/pasley.jpg', 'JET', 'width=600,height=136')" title="click on image for full size" alt=pasleystudio ""src="http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/pasley.jpg">I have recently finished a web site for Ray Pasley, a local photographer. The site includes an intro page, a main site driven by wordpress and sporting a custom theme. And the site also includes a very nice flash portfolio application. I think the design looks great, but what I really like is how Ray can take control of his own site and upload content himself via the web. He can add to both the main pages of the site as well as images in the portfolio.

This is another great example of how content management systems can make web publishing much more accessible to everyone! If you are interested in having a dynamic web site for your personal use, or for your business, let me know!

To visit Ray's site go here: PasleyStudio

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 2px 0pt; float: left; border: 0px solid ; width: 25%;" onclick="popupWin = window.open('http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/Picture-1.gif', 'JET', 'width=600,height=320')" title="click on image for full size" alt=""src="http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/Picture-1.preview.gif">Yes, the web site is just about finished as of today. A few final touches and the site will be handed over to Mr. Gonzalez who will do a great job adding content and using this site to promote his companies efforts to make excellent film. He will be out in California later this spring and I look forward to getting together with him and seeing his latest work.

Go to Crossland Fims

New Web Site in the Works

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 2px 0pt; float: left; border: 0px solid ; width: 25%;" onclick="popupWin = window.open('http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/Crosslandfilms.png', 'JET', 'width=577,height=506')" title="click on image for full size" alt=""src="http://portfolio.williammead.com/files/images/Crosslandfilms.png">I have started design work for a new website for Crossland Films. Here you see the logo I designed from a photo provided by photographer and film maker, Larry Gonzalez. I think this logo really captures the spirit of the company. It will be interesting to see how the web site shapes up. I am very excited about the project.

Interface Design

In case you are wondering what I am working on these days, I have been hired to do some interface design for a small group of people who want to make a program that teaches you how to play Texas Hold'em Poker. It is an interesting project, even though I don't know much about poker.

This is my first really big interface design project, beyond web site design, so that is an interesting departure for me, and it poses some interesting challenges.

I am confident that the design will come together and work nicely though. Interface design seems to flow logically from many of my other projects.
