Welcome to My PortfolioOn the left you will find links to different kinds of things I have designed. If you are looking for just a quick peek at examples of my work, check out the Design Gallery, where I have put some pictures of my favorite projects. There is a print version of my portfolio available. You can click the link to order your own copy. The work shown here has been done over the last five years, most of it done for Boston Arts Academy. I was employed as a teacher and administrator there, but I also worked independently for various departments producing materials to support shows and events. This was very rewarding to me and allowed me to develop and grow tremendously as a professional designer, even as my bread and butter came from teaching and helping run an amazing school. Boston Arts Academy is Boston's only public high school for the arts. Its needs for graphic design are great. Shows produced by the Dance, Visual Arts, Theatre and Music departments, plus the design needs of the administration and the BAA Foundation kept me very busy. With the little spare time I had, I developed a few other clients, worked with other designers and continued to build my skills. In 2004, my family made a decision to move to the west coast, to be closer to our extended family, and as part of this move I have decided to pursue design full time. As a result, I have opted to design this website to present my portfolio. While the web is not always optimal for every type of work presented, I hope you will get an idea of the depth and breadth of my design skills, as well as my commitment to professionalism. If you have any questions about the work, or about my process as a designer, please feel free to contact me. By wmmead at 11/04/2005 - 08:12 | login to post comments | email this page
